Literacy Curator Associate

Literacy Curator Associates work under the leadership of the owner. In this Role, Associates stock inventory, help curate book collections, regularly make title recommendations to customers and provide a high-value experience to customers. Associates also provide high quality literacy engagement opportunities to store patrons through small group book clubs, story read-aloud and supporting store events. Literacy Curators are the first people customers interact with in-store. It is critical that they provide exceptional customer service, get to know customers, and are knowledgeable about store inventory and what’s appropriate for a reader based on their criteria. When the store has less foot traffic, Associates read titles to build familiarity with current inventory, create customer recommendation cards, stock non-book merchandise, ensure the store is aesthetically maintained and well-organized and perform basic cleaning and upkeep tasks.
